I kept asking the devs on how to build packages, and contribute, but as per usual it gets met w/ crickets. I did some digging through the github, after clicking a link for the Filer package trying to check it out. I wanted to know what it did, and I did not know that the package link went directly to the github. After doing some searching it looks like it would be as easy as forking, and pushing:

I discovered a bug in the package link (the F is capitalized in the package link), and I am sure I am digging into a more recent github (pfsense is heading for 2.5!), but I figured I should document what I found so I could come back, and go...just find the package in git hub, and edit yourself.
